Matinee Deals at the Los Angeles Music Center

Stepping out for a day trip can be a great stress reliever at the end of the week. One of my favorite places to go is the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles. The main auditoriums are the Mark Taper Forum for plays, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for music and dance and the Ahmenson Theatre. I prefer the matinee shows for the best deal on the tickets, and me and my friend will walk to the restaurants and plan to spend the day. Parking may be a problem when all the theatres are booked, so I use the L.A. Metro when I can, needing only to walk a few blocks from the train station. The Los Angeles Music Center is pretty casual on weekend matinees, so wear comfortable clothing, take some extra parking money and set your adt alarm system for the day. Continue Reading »

A Race Around the World

Hands down, The Amazing Race is one of my favorite reality shows on Satellite TV. With a million dollar prize on the line, contestants race around the globe to be the first to the finish line. “The Amazing Race” is the only show on television now that takes you to exotic locations on each continent. The race starts in the United States but could very well lead you to Japan or Nigeria. There is never a dull moment either.
