A wedding as a wedding gift

As a wedding present to our daughter, we decided to foot the bill for the actual ceremony and festivities. (The groom’s family is taking care of the honeymoon expenses.) My Favorite Place to Eat

Posted August 4th, 2010 by admin and filed in Travel Story

We love going out to eat as a family. We always enjoy a good time of talking and great food when we go to Olive Garden. We set the home security system video and head out the door to dinner. It is about an hour to get there, but it is worth every bit of drive time. When you sit down, they bring you the most amazing bread sticks and salad. There salad is full of stuff and not just a little bit of lettuce. It has its own dressing all over it. They will even shred some Parmesan cheese on top for you. We never feel the need for an appetizer since you get the bread and salad. You can also choose a soup instead of salad. All of their soups are amazing as well. When it is time to order food, I can never decide. I usually end up getting the Taste of Italy since I don’t know what I want to eat. It has spaghetti, lasagna, and fettuccine alfredo all on the meal. It is amazing! The kids even eat well here. We always take some bread sticks to go with us and they will give you an entire order. They taste great reheated in the microwave the next day for lunch.

Granted, the heat wasn’t exactly stifling because in that area, that’s really just when the summer season starts, but it certainly wasn’t comfortable. I knew that if we didn’t do something about it immediately that it would come back to bite us. Continue Reading »
